Matthew is doing very well these days as he gets into a routine. He is beginning to sleep a little more (longer) at night and is alert and curious during the day. He has two signatures thus far: his very maintained coiffure and his grunting. Baby hairstyling requires a whole other line of hair products. David seems to have perfected the Matthew style.

Matthew also has this adorable little grunt like a piglet. It isn't a fussy grunt or an unhappy grunt, he just makes noise. (I believe that this is simply a precursor to being dramatic like some of his other relatives - attention-seeking, plain and simple.)

Matthew had his 6 week checkup last week and weighed in at 11 lbs. 11 oz. The cool thing about this weight is the significance of the number sequence. Elijah was born on 11/11 at 11:11. Pretty cool, huh? Notice how much Matthew is beginning to resemble his older brother. He knows his big brother's voice and perks up each time he hears him. Matthew tries to look all around until he can spot Elijah. What great brothers they will be!

And we all know that once he begins to resemble Elijah, it is inevitable for him to be a mini-me of David too. Just see for yourself.
Hope you have enjoyed this quick update. Stay tuned for more fun stuff from our family. We hope to have pictures up in a couple of weeks of Matthew's first beach trip.

He is precious! I can't believe how much he has changed in the few short weeks since I have seen him. Don't you love the difference in hair color bt. the boys? I love that mine have different hair... yet they still look similar.
